“Supporting Public Health Around the World”
Thank you for your interest in participating in the NAVY AND MARINE CORPS PUBLIC HEALTH CONFERENCE Poster Presentation Session. This session provides military and civilian attendees the opportunity to discuss details, share information, experiences, and ideas about their projects, studies or research in addition to the oral presentations, short courses, meetings and exhibits during the conference.
All poster abstracts will be reviewed for relevance to the conference theme, the presenter's field of expertise, clarity, organization, significance of information, findings and recommendations, and its impact on a healthy and fit force. Abstracts not meeting the required guidelines will not be accepted.
How to Write Abstracts
Travel funding for poster authors (s) will be the author's or their organization's responsibility. The authors of the winning posters will be recognized at the opening session of the conference.
For poster participants planning and resourcing purposes, deadline for abstract submission is 26 February 2010. Poster committee will communicate to the submitter any problems with the individual submissions.

Posters will be judged on:
a. Abstract: Must be included in the display and in MS® Word format, not be more that 250 word limit (not counting author(s) names and command). It must have the following: Background, Objective(s) of the project, study or research, Methodology, Results, Discussion/Conclusion, and Recommendations.
b. Display: Clarity of information (clearly display Background, Objective(s) of the project, study or research, Methodology, Results, Discussion/Conclusion and Recommendations), Technical merit, Presentation Quality, Aesthetics, and Relevance to the conference theme.
Setting up of posters: Saturday, 20 March 2010 from 0800 – 1600
Removing posters: Thursday, 25 March 2010 NLT 1300
Poster Display dates: Saturday, 20 March until Wednesday, 24 March 2010
