About Preventive Medicine
Preventive Medicine involves the anticipation, identification, surveillance, and control of disease and injuries. Assessment involves the general evaluation of the health of beneficiary populations, medical surveillance, occupational and environmental health surveillance, investigation of outbreaks, and determination of risk factors and causes of major disease and injury syndromes. Policy development includes prioritization of needs, analysis, and the provision of resources to implement programs, plans, and policies.
