About Healthy Living
Unhealthy lifestyles are the major underlying cause for many of the health problems in the U.S. population, pose a huge social and economic burden, and degrade mission readiness by decreasing deployability and performance levels. Healthy Living comprises a population health focus emphasizing health behavior programs that reduce the health care burden and maintain the health of beneficiaries. By providing programs and services that support a healthy lifestyle, enhances the early diagnosis of chronic disease and prevention of non-battle related injuries, thus reducing the rising cost of medical care associated with chronic disease and lost manpower due to injuries.
