Objectives
Health Analysis serves in a variety of unique roles, striving to improve Navy Medicine's quality of care. In order to achieve our mission, we involve ourselves in a variety of Navy Medicine programs and projects.
Primary Health Analysis responsibilities include:
- Provide epidemiology, statistical, and analytical support to BUMED's Wounded Ill and Injured Program.
- Create MTF-specific tools and services to promote efficient resource allocation and timely services (e.g., Colorectal Cancer Screening Demand Forecast Tool).
- Provide metric development and implementation support for new/changing health measures for the Population Health Navigator Dashboard.
- Support implementation of evidence-based care throughout Navy Medicine.
- Provide post-deployment assessment of care.
- Participate in and contribute to Navy Medicine Advisory Boards, Action Teams, and work groups.
- Review policy, programs and publications that pertain to metrics and management of health services outcomes.
- Design and conduct studies to identify health care outcomes such as re-hospitalizations, patient compliance, recovery time, clinical economics, medication compliance and effectiveness.
- Develop MTF performance measures focusing on the improvement of clinic processes.
- Oversee development and implementation of CarePoint, the upgrade of the Population Health Navigator tool.
